Table of contents

  • Create a New display capture
  • Add Scaling/Aspect Ratio filter
  • Manually Resize
  • Enable the Scale Filtering

This will go through how to get the pixelated desktop effect. Great for doing super private top secret things on stream.

Please note, it works best the smaller the data is you're trying to conceal.

Create a New display capture

At a new source and choose Display Capture. Name it something like "Pixelated Display" or similar.

Add Scaling/Aspect Ratio filter

Right click on the new display capture and choose Filters.

Click the plus and add a Scaling/Aspect Ratio filter.

Choose Scale Filtering: Point and Resolution: 160x90.

Manually Resize

At this point, you should see a tiny version of your screen in the top left.

Grab the corner and drag the new capture to resize so it covers your whole canvas.

At this point it will just be your original display and not look any different.

Enable the Scale Filtering

Right click on the display capture and choose Scale Filtering -> Point to enable it.

It should now look like this!
